1. champion - ride and decide babe. there still isn't a boat that outperforms champion. by the way fast, in a straight line isn't performance. 2. progator - pure fishing boat. extremely tuff, priced right, stable, and can take the waves. 3. skeeter - best laid out and my favorite to fish out of (not ride in. a little too rough for my taste) 4. bass cat - gorgeous boats, good layout, awesome cockpit, ride better than a skeeter. 5. have to stop here. i haven't fished out of anther brand that deserves to be in a top list. (i can't consider legend or phoenix because fished out of them yet) i don't have ranger in my list because i have had the privilege of fishing out of a few of these heralded rigs this year and last year. i came away completely disappointed by the supposedly greatest bass boats ever built. i have no clue why people think there is anything special about these boats. I like the Bass Cat's as well, Skeeters do have a great fishing lay-out too.
