I actually owned a SHADOW for 11 years, 1985 model, 20ft 925lbs hull weight, ran a Johnson 200gt modified by Perry Meriot out of South Carolina. The Shadow boat Company actually started in a small place named Friendsville Tennessee, outside of Maryville. The owner was Jay Cox, former designer for Mastercraft and Sea-ray. I turned an actual time trial at 95.6mph in 1/8th mile. The boats would run!! They were great on gas mileage also,(no weight). You really had to know how to drive them, not like other boats. I fished almost all conditions, and extremely rough water could get a little hairy, but it was a light boat. I had more comments and fun with that boat than any other I have owned!!
