They are. The 5.9 L. is just a computer controlled fuel injected version of the old 360 ci -remember those? They and the 340's, small block 318's and even that old 225 slant 6 were bullet proof motors. When I was young I had a 426 hemi Cuda. It was black with all the goodies.
