Jay: The deal on the 25P Tempest + fell through. Someone beat me to it. I have now found a pretty good deal on a 27P Tempest that is in great shape. It is one of the original A40 Quicksilver Tempest. My local prop guy said he doesn't think my old 2.4 liter 200HP Mariner can turn a 27P Tempest, but since this is one of the original Tempest props with thinner blades, it should be easier to turn than a comparable Tempest +. Also, my hull is only 1,150 lbs dry, so that should make it easier for my 2.4 to spin the prop. I know I can spin the 26P Turbo M a good bit past 6,000RPM and it is only 3/8" smaller in diameter than the Tempest. What do you think? Also, do the Tempest props like to be run with the plate higher up or down in the water a good bit?
