i moved my motor up (no jack plate just motor holes) and if i measured right its around 3.5 to 3.75
still have the aluminum prop (21 pitch)
ran it saturday and my boat slowed down to 38 mph and would only turn 5200 then stop pullin and spin up to 6k(dont know what its called... prop slippage maybe) trim down some and it would hook back up
how much of this is prop issue ?
when im riding trimmed up as far as i can go i have water spray beside me in the driver seat enough i can take my hat off and get it wet ( wet hat feel kinda good when its this hot) this is why i raised the motor up tryin to get the nose of the boat to come up some (didnt work) .. i am thinkin im losing some speed cause i have to much boat in the water
now i dont know what to do ... lower the motor ... get a ss prop or both
before i raised the motor i would get 42 to 45 depending on the load
and could turn 5500 or 5600 sometimes 5700 before it would stop pullin and spin up to 6k
