Took my ride out again today not as bad 2-21/2 waves ,did as jay suggested run jackplate down and trim down as far as it would go.Put the pedal to the metal, slight slip at near tip over but does go through it then get up on pad.
Could be a bit to much prop with 2 people and full load ,test will have to happen to know.
But running with jackplate mostly down and motor tilted to just under neutral leaving it slightly neg let me run hull down at 60 mph.(gps)
Rough water and an rpm guage that stopped working halted farther tests .
But overall that 28 p chopper ran be better at a faster speed (other than getting up),in the ruff stuff, torque however was a bear with the 3 blade .
Do the newer steering units alter that any?Teleflex not hydraulic as doubt if I can afford that.Or will it lessen as prop bites trough near the top of settings running surfaced?
