I never thought about this before, until this past weekend. Was out looking at the boat and doing some odds and ends to it, when I noticed that my throw cushion had one of the straps torn off. I threw it away and replaced it. Reason being, if I ever have to throw it out to someone, that strap may be the only thing they can get a hold on before it's too late. Think about it!!!
