well i know i'm not in the right thread but figured i would ask here anyways. boat cranked up fine on the trailer at the house, put in the water, went to crank started to turn over then quit all together. no tilt, nothing. switched batteries started to crank again and quit again. finally just tilted the motor up and loaded back on the trailer. got home all batteries are fine. when i take the gauges off the starter battery it will crank fine. with the gauges is when it happens. looked at some wires didnt see anything obvious. looked at my switch for my 12/24 selection, the wires were burned up but this is on a different battery. i cleaned all the battery connections and the ground on the motor. been looking for a wiring diagram so i know what is what. any ideas? one place said it was maybe a bad ground. sucks i cant find out for sure till i'm back in the water
