don't remember if this was posted but it deserves a repost I'm getting
a lot of inquiries on how to do it so here it is again
by the way it's written for merc efi motors DO NOT TRY THIS WITH
AN OPTIMAX. THEY CANNOT BE PREMIXED. THEY ARE DIRECT INJECTED

oil injection removal

It’s easy to do here is how…
Mix oil at 50:1 in the gas BEFORE removing the injection system and run it for a few minutes (otherwise from the tank to the engine you will be running straight gas with NO oil) Take the oil pump, reservoir tank, and lines off, leave cap on tank and unplug wires. Now remove the oil injection warning module (rectangular black box on top of portside head) it needs to be removed. It connects to the reservoir cap, oil pump sensor, power, ground, and alarm buzzer wire.
Remove all the extra wiring, then make sure to leave the alarm
buzzer wire hooked up to the over-heat thermal switch on the cylinder head, so you still have the hotter-than-hell alarm. Then remove gear under pump with needle nose pliers, install block off with O ring installed.
Unplug wires and rotational sensor located right above oil pump. Leave a little hose that goes to vapor canister
so you can put a bolt in it with clamp to block it off. You can get a plug for the pump hole from Merc dealer or just leave it with the a
little hose and small bolt plugged off. Then remove vacuum hose and pulse valve, and then get a brass pipe plug and plug hole. Now remove
tank/bracket and hose assembly in boat.

O ring 32509 (this O ring goes on the block off listed above)
