New N.Y state record smallmouth?

This monster was caught saturday Nov 12th at the Niagara Outdoors open tournament on Lake Erie on the N.Y side, Fish was caught by Canadian Drew Sokolowski and weighed in at 8.91 pounds, if i,m not mistaking this should be the new N.Y state smallmouth record. Fish was released healthy!
On another note he and his partner brought in a 5 fish weight of 29 plus pounds!!
