I am presently trying to help a buddy of mine out and I dont have the correct answer for him so maybe someone here does.
In the Bass Pro catalog they show the HDS-5 and the HDS-5X model of sonars. Now I called Bass Pro but I dont think they actually know....I mean all they do is sit there and punch keyboard buttons. The HDS-5X says it has all the features of the HDS-5 model. My question is this............What I am seeing is that it will do everything the HDS-5 will but you can load all the extra Insight and Map options. Am I correct???? Will it do the Structure scan and do you have to purchase the LSS-1 option or does it come with it. According to the way that they have it wrote in the catalog it says it has the LSS-1.......the operator at Bass Pro says you have to purchase it. That doubles the price of the HDS-5X......the price for the head unit is $549 abd they are saying you have to purchase the LSS-1 option for another $599..
