Well I'm approaching having the new boat for two months. I making a list of items for the break/warranty service (i.e broken gas cap, horn installation, trim wire coming loose) etc. but it will probably be another month before I'm ready for the service.
I figured now was the time to do the first minor upkeep/maintenance stuff on the boat. I was considering the following but please chime in if there are other items I should take care of.
1. I waxed the boat last month and washed it last weekend.
2. I am going to top off the oil in the mixer.
3. I am running the fuel tank down this weekend to make sure the fuel gauge is accurate. Then I will add stabilizer and refill to almost full.
4. I'm going to add water to the trolling motor batteries.
5. Was thinking about greasing the bearing on the EZ lUbe hubs but I was doing some reading and it may be too soon for that.
6. Going to try and install the Keelguard which should be coming this week.
I'm sort of trying to get a two month schedule going so it becomes second nature. Any advice or reccomendations?
