Water level looked about a foot lower than the previous week. Last 2 weeks fishing had slowed down substantially, only catching 19 fish one trip and 15 the other. Slower than usual considering we normally catch 30-50 bass per fishing trip.
Well 1/6/2013 everything changed. Started fishing around 9am and pretty slow for the 1st 2 hours.... Then, all hell broke loose. Ended up catching 67 largemouth bass including 6lb, 4lb, a few 3lb and a bunch of smaller ones. If the water keeps dropping, we can be in for 100+ bass real soon!
Launched on Tamiami Trail ramp 12 miles west off Krome right by the 1st bend going west. fished 6-7 miles west almost to the tower. Biggest bass caught late in the day about 1 hour before sunset using a Rebel Pop R. Berkley and Senko black worms, Rapala stick baits, top water frogs (late in day), all worked...
