Went out to the Upper section of the Hudson River near Stillwater with my uncle Sunday. On and off rain all day and windy water temp in the back water coves was around 54 degrees main river around 45. Caught alot of bass but all shorts. We got into a school of crappie that would just not stop some nice big ones. We must have caught 100 of’em! Also caught some pickeral and a monster bowfin them things fight like crazy. All in all good day but need the bigun’s to move in for cripes sakes just couldn’t get’em to bite!! A little about the Upper Hudson its an area where you can not keep any fish Catch and immediate release only. GE loaded the place up with PCB's back in the day or I would have had a nice crappie dinner!! haha
