Anzac day saw 130 angler's hit Somerset Dam for 2 day's of bass fishing to see how could take out the win from a strong field of angler's.We had a international guest Katsutoshi Furusawa who has fished in both Japan and FLW american circuit's,this was his first time he'd fish a ABT event in Australia.Different tatic's were used during the weekend from spinnerbait's Fly's,metal blades as well as the soft plastic's and crank bait's(lipped and lippless). Some angler's targeted school's of fish that were located in the 19 to 24ft range,while other angler's targeted fish holding tight in amongst structure such as tree's etc, edges of point's were all targeted.Steve Elder ended up taking out his first win with a 3.91kg total,he also won biggest bass for the weekend weighing in at 2.83kg.2nd place went Carl Jocumsen weighing in a 2.63kg,using the new bassman compact series of spinnerbait's.3rd place went to Steve Kanowski with a bag of 2.49kg.Non boater's section was won by Matt Hawkless with a 2.52kg bag,who also used spinnerbait's as well as Ecogear VX blades to help him take out the non boater's section.2nd place went to Greg Monro with 2.01kg with Kris George taking 3rd place with a 1.6kg bag.
