Well, I am putting the boat away next weekend, today was my last day until next May. Lake turned and fishing was pretty tough. Lots of fish suspended, spread all over the place. I managed 6, my son got one. However, 2 of mine were "short" and this is the first time in I don't know how long I've not caught a 5 fish limit as least. Even though I don't tourney fish anymore, I still hold myself to that standard, so...not real happy about that:wallbash: but every day I spend fishing with my boys is a damn good one.:party0045: We only spent 6 hrs out there today and pretty sure I could have scored another fish or 2 if I'd put in the normal 8 hrs.

Anyway....I lost 2 good keepers on a Rattlin' Rap. This is not uncommon for me. I lose WAY too many fish on traps and I would like to know what any of you are doing to modify and increase landing percentage on 3/8 oz models? I am going to try using a #4 treble in place of one of the #6's, beyond that I'd like to hear any suggestions/ideas. I can't think of a more love/hate lure than traps. The 2 "shorts" came on the trap, all others were caught on Lunker City Swim Fish swimbaits.
