Sunrise Beach, MO (KSDK)-- Missouri State Water Patrol officials say nobody was hurt; but one of two boats involved in a Saturday evening collision, did leave the vessel damaged.
Investigators say a 16' Wellcraft was traveling about 300 feet off the shoreline when another boat ran over the stern of the vessel.
The second boat; a 45 foot cruiser operated by a 38 year old man from Foristell, was undamaged in the crash. The smaller vessel was owned and operated by a 70 year old Chesterfield man according to the patrol who also stated the boat struck, and the operator made it to shore safely.
The accident occurred around 7:15pm Saturday near the 20 mile marker of the lake at Sunrise Beach.
