Just dinnkin' around and ran across the NMMA - National Marine Manufacturers Association, Certification Progam. They state:

Buy Smart. Buy a Certified Boat. NMMA Certification is a program designed to help boat manufacturers comply with industry boating safety and construction standards and all federal regulations. In order to be NMMA Certified, boats undergo third-party inspection to ensure all applicable standards are met; the result is a safer boat for you and your passengers.

I thought it was interesting that:

Gambler was not listed - Nitro was.
Allison was not listed - Triton was
Bullet was not listed - Stratos was
BassCat was not listed - Legend was
Stroker was not listed - Ranger was... as was...

Tracker, Skeeter, Lowe, Hydra-sports(?) and others. Of course there were many listed not relating to Bass Boats as well.

I wonder why... Legend was the only non-mass produced(shunnin' the other term for now) boat mfg. on the list? If you're interested in checking out the list for yourself you can find it here: http://www.discoverboating.ca/buying/certified/boats.aspx
