When I bought my truck last year I screwed up and didn't think to check on what was in the rear end :wallbash:. Found out the hard way that it's an open differential (couldn't pull my boat up a steep ramp, one wheel spinning). Fortunately my nephew hooked on and pulled me up.
I have a 2007 Silverado crew cab. I'm going to install either a locker or a good limited slip. My problem is that I'm not sure which will best serve my needs. I want to be able to make it up steep ramps under my own power and drive on icy or snow covered roads without spinning out.
Based on your experiences and knowledge, please give me a recommendation.
