I was thinking of purchasing a Quantum Tour Edition Baitcast Reel with the 7.3:1 ratio. I was looking at one at the local tackle store who is also a Bass Pro Shop outlet. One of the local "Pro's" came up and told me not to purchase a Quantum as they will not last, in other words they are not very durable. He says he has had a couple of Quantums and the bearings went out in a couple of years. I have never owned a Quantum baitcaster before, I have alway used Shimano and the Swedish made ABG Ambassadeurs. I really do not believe this as from the price and advertizing this is one of their best reels, but I really don't know. I know there is enough expertize on this forum to really know. Would some of you that have used Quantum reels please give me your opinion of this reel.
