I know, I know, some of you are still fishing, but some of us already put the boats to sleep for the winter. Anyway, how is your 2009 going so far? Mine 2009 has been kind of sucks, but at least I'm surviving it, and so far didn't get hurt, just having bad luck that's all.
here's how it's going so far:
1st time out, pulling boat out of water ruined my prop, houch, that hurt. (thanks for the nice job fixing it Jay, and thank you Charlie for telling me about Jay, lol). Sometime in may, my intruder died on me, #1 blown, fished 3rd trournament of my club with trolling motor only, (my wieght was 3 fish for 666lbs, man that was no good!) finally found me a used motor (merc xr6) and had charlie swap the two motors, this motor run good all season. In April my in-laws got caught up in this economy thing and basiclly lost everything they had in California, so they moved into my home (what else could you do ) untill they could get back on their feet. Well think they be moving this coming spring, lol double the bills for a all year, that's sucks. ] Well, last year I qualified to fish the NY, CTC (club tournament championship) in August so i was excited about it since it was my first, only a week before tournament I got a kidney stone that prevented me from going, well that sucks as well, I also missed a very important tournament of my local club that I wanted to fish really bad on the Hudson river, that sucks as well. The rest of the fishing year went pretty goog, untill just a few weeks ago I went to winterize boat and we discovered a big a$$ crack on my lower unit, never hit anything and prop had no damage whatsoever, so this has been unnotice for a while I gues, good thing Charlie had a lower unit in his shop and is gonna put it on my motor this coming spring, so all in all it wasn't so bad thanks to Charlie, cause if I had to pay the prices all marine shops are charging I would have a boat with no motor sitting in my garage. Like my friend says, I am very lucky cause it could be worst, Yep it sure could be a lot worst.
