How many have tried this? I for one had to. I love to grill, and I love fish, so why not. I take a bass fillet, wrap it in foil, add a slice of lemon, put a light coat of mayo on the fillet, sprinkle a little salt and pepper on it. Grill it, (depending on the fire), for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Now this is for a large thick fillet. Smaller ones will not have to cook this long. Also put some wet hickory in the coals. You will be amazed at how good this taste.
