This thread came from surf & turf bout eatin' bass. It was a grim reminder of an absolute true story about a friend of mine years ago. Kick me in the bass iffin' I'm a lyin', it's true.
My friend finally met what he thought was the right woman......I guess it was for him. Anyway, she was all of about 16 when he married her and she was pretty much of a back woods hick. Cute in some ways but don't look too close. One of her first meals that mama never taught her how to cook involved fish gravy and mashed taters! My friend was hurtin' pretty bad as he really loved his new gal and didn't want to hurt her feelings but he nearly upchucked the gravy. Here's the real kicker.....next day she had added more corn meal and made a gelatin like goo and cut it up to add with mush.....lmao.....my friend lost a lot of weight the first six months. He finally talked her out of anything to do with fish. This is a true one.
