Noob checking in. So far this looks like a good forum to be at.
I am an aluminum welder working on a fiberglass boat, so bear with me.
I have a 17' VIP (per my screen name lol) Bass w/115 Yamaha. Below should be some pictures of my problem. My question will cover all these in general. I have read and watched many threads concerning repairing gel coat. Are the cracks repairable by a novice, or should I take it somewhere? One of the pictures is concerning rubbing compound. Can buffing bring the luster back on the flake area?
I know this is a lot of questions for my first post, but it seems like there are more knowledgeable people on this forum.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
