Too many of us focus on the large bodies of water that we live beside, or go to everytime we take the boat out to think about some of the best fishing this country has to offer. Farm ponds are where most of us got our start. There can be some really wonderful days fishing from the bank of a nice pond, or small lake. I have put together some tremendous stringers when fishing on small ponds. Largest bass I ever caught out of one was 7 1/2 lbs. But there larger ones than that in there. I have one 2 miles down the road from me that I used to fish 20 years ago. Now the fellow that bought that spread won't allow anyone to fish in it. I have the boat, but there's a few ponds close by that if I could get permission once again to fish in them, I'd have to park the boat for that weekend. How about you? Are there any ponds or small lakes that really get you excited when you get the chance to fish them?
