It would be humorous if it weren’t so truly sad. Consumer report has weighed in on the Chevy Volt and the hopes and dreams are shattered as the truth begins trickling out. First big sham to hit is the 40 mile charge only happens in optimum conditions. During the past winter months actual testing has netted far less results of 27-29 miles per charge in cold weather. An annoying 5 hour average to re-charge it. The car heater consists of two electric seats. Your hands and feet are on their own so bundle up. This is just a quick review of the tax payer subsidized government car energy solution. Imagine actually having to use other electrical devices such as the windshield wipers, the radio, maybe having to turn on the headlights for night driving. And all this for 40 grand!!!…..sure makes me laugh!!
