I can't wax for s**t.
wanted to give that new look to my boat, and here's what I did:
1st washed and let it dry.
2nd litelly wet sanded, got it nice and smood.
3rd put coat of 3M wax
4th could not bring a nice shine by using electrical orbital sander (2500 rpm as recommended by wax can) instead I was getting a dull looking, so put it away.
5th started doing it by hand and shine was coming back, looks nice, but I think it could look even better, there's a little corner by trolling motor where you can see original and it is more of a nicer color.
Am I suppose to use rubbing compound before waxing, or should I wax it again, maybe a polishing compound instead? once you wet sanded is it possible to bring show room collor back or is it never the same?
