boat hull colors is darker better than lighter

My ranger has a dark green bottom, but I pretty much have seen all color bottoms. Who her think that a bright bottom might affect the fish when fishing clear water? I have seen a 40' salt water fishing boat and they had a light blue bottom to protect the hull and they had fish drawed into the hull has if it was a school of fishing hanging out underneath boat. I tought it was interesting.
