Getting ready for the upcoming season, I usually try to stock the cabinet w/ what I expect to need so I have it at hand and don't have to stop in the middle of a project because I'm out of supplies. My time to go to a hardware store, discount store, etc is big to me, as I'm not in the big city so to speak, but at the very fringe and it's not a quick trip when I'm out of something. You would not believe the stock of general purpose hardware I keep on hand, just about every size of SAE and most Metric common bolts, nuts, washers, etc, and quit a bit of SS as well. Geesh, you'd think my shop was Frugal's Hardware!
Anyway, What products do most of you recommend to keep on hand for general upkeep, like boat cleaners, waxes, protectants, and why?
This may turn into a ford v. chevy (or merc v. yammy) but I think many people would bennefit from the experiences of the folks that have been around the wake, so to speak!
Thanks in advance, I'll start this off with a couple I keep on hand ALL the time:
WD-40
Liquid Wrench (I've also used a couple other brands, my actual favorite is LPS)
spray white grease
windex
grease-away
orange cleaner
liquid car wash
Armour All
RainX and a formula for plexiglass
but here's where I leave off, as I'm no expert on fiberglass surface care, etc.
I'm looking forward to this one, as I need to restock my supply cabinet, it's pretty bare.
