Was on the lake a few weeks ago, and thought I'd try a lure I haven't tried in quite some time. Broke out a motor oil colored 5" grub. Tied that little rascal onto my spinning reel and went at it. Caught a bass on the second cast. Used a 1/16 jig head with the weed guard. Just flipped it around the stumps we were fishing to see what would happen. Had it on a light action rod, and had a blast with it. Caught two 3 pounders on that setup. I enjoy the fight with the light rod, and just dialed back the drag and let em pull. My partner thought I was nuts till he seen how much fun it was. Said he's buying a setup like it for our next trip. Lol..
