Got my adapter in for the tm. Got out there yesterday, and got the transducer hooked up on my new unit. Got the mount installed. Just gotta run the wires for her, and I'll be in business.
Question:
I have the wires for the older unit right in the front of the boat. Can I cut the power cable on the old unit right there in the front, and hook the new unit to that power source? Didn't know if that would be a bad idea or not. It came with a fuse link to hook to the battery. That's no problem. I can put that in there, but the cable that came with it is not long enough after I ran it around the tm.
