Heres one that some of you may already know about..Take a piece of scotch brite and roughen up the pad of your rig, most say do only the last 6 inch's but I like to do at least 12 inchs..What this does when the boat is running is makes micro bubbles that has less resistance to the hull. A flat smoth as glass hull will stick to the water like glue just like a flat, zero wind day would have an effect on your boat. Get a good chop on the lake and you will run faster, this works the same way. Every little bit helps...
