Temperatures in most area lakes and rivers are in the 80s.
• Bedford: Largemouth bass are staying in deeper water because of the heat.

• Center Hill: Smallmouth bass bite is better than largemouth. Smallmouth are striking crank and spinner baits in 12-18 feet of water.

• Cheatham: Crappie are being caught on minnows near brush. Smallmouth bass bite is best later in the day and at night.

• Cordell Hull: Try the deep drops for largemouth bass on crank baits. Smallmouth bass bite is best before the sun comes up or after it goes down.

• Dale Hollow: Smallmouth bass bite on top water baits has dropped off. Try crank and spinner baits in at least 12 feet of water at night. Largemouth bass are being caught on jigs and soft plastics in about 15 feet of water.

• Kentucky: Most largemouth and smallmouth bass are being caught in the river channel on jigs and plastic worms.

• Marrowbone: Largemouth bass bite has improved. They continue to be taken on plastic worms and lizards.

• Normandy: Largemouth bass are being caught throughout the day on crank and spinner baits along with plastic worms in deep water.

• Old Hickory: Only a few largemouth and smallmouth bass are being caught because of the high temperatures.

• Percy Priest: Some largemouth bass are being caught on crank and spinner baits along with Texas and Carolina rigs.

• Tims Ford: Smallmouth bass bite is best in deep water early in the day or very late. Try the drops during the day.
