My 84' 200hp merc i is leaking oil from the water vent holes in the lower unit. I took it apart to replace the water pump and that looks good but the shift shaft seal looks like its got oil all over it so I'm guessing that's the culprit. Any sugestions on removal and replacement? Looks like it is on some sort of screwed in piece. Is there a special tool? can i do it without that tool?
Oh and yes there was water in the oil when i drained it.
