I have classic english sportboat, not a bass boat. 17 x 6 ft. Weight is only 990 lb + Mariner 370 lb. Laser 25". I have not tested boat with proper steering ( I drove one test drive last summer with single cable steering. It has 2,5 rounds lock to lock an max recommended power 75 hp ;).) and I didn't have external cooling water intake. That is why eingine was so low, prop shaft 4 inch below bottom line. So, there was really nothing to do with massive chinewalking. Next summer I will built external water intake and lift Mariner higher (prop shaft 0-2 inch below bottom.) I have odered double cable steering. Locals told me that Laser will not work well near water surface.
So I would like to hear your opinion about best prop. Speed with Laser was 68 mph/ 5600. Deep vee 21°, no pad, no steps. Jackplate 5". Need to go faster and hopefully with less chinewalking. Memorial boat race..
Thropy plus 25, Tempest 25, Turbo txp?
Neither was with full power because of the steering.
Thank you, Ami
