Finally bought a battery charger. Got a 3 bank charger from BPS the other day and spent this afternoon installing it. It works like the manual says it should so I haven't messed up the job too bad. 
Right now I only have the engine battery in. I'll go get a couple of batts for the TM when I get my tax refund in a couple of weeks then hook it all up. The directions said the unit gets pretty hot so bare wood seems like the best choice.
Still have to replace my hoses in the bilge.
