Bennett Spring State Park: 57 degrees, the spring level is about normal and clear; best lures: pink and white colored and white colored marabou jigs, bedspread colored and John Deere colored mini jigs; moss colored and brown colored roaches, coach dog colored and brown trout colored Rooster Tails, grey scuds, white colored and chartreuse colored Power Baits and trout nip, orange plastic worms and white colored and easter egg colored glo balls. August fishing hours are 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Maramec Spring Park: 57 degrees, the water is clear with good flow; fishing early in the morning is producing the best fishing; pink, white, green and yellow doughbait is working well; shady areas of water lower in the park are holding good numbers of fish in the late afternoons. Montauk State Park: 60 degrees, the river level is currently normal for this time of year and steady as of 6:00 p.m. on August 18th. The water is clear. Fishing is good on all baits with the best fishing in the morning and evening hours.

Roaring River State Park: 59 degrees, Saturday, August 21 is Kids Fishing Day; the upper portion of the Spring Branch will be reserved for kids fifteen and under. The water is low and clear; the use of 2 lb clear line is recommended; jig fishing is good; white, yellow and orange are good colors; in zone one, brown power eggs are working; in zone three, nightcrawlers, minnows and white Power Bait paste are working.
