LAKE HARTWELL IS DOWN 6.1 FEET, 71 DEGREES AND CLEAR
Bass fishing is fair and the fish seem to be biting better the creeks so work the backs of the smaller coves and secondary points. Shad Raps and Bandits will work in the shallower water. Later in the day go to the deeper diving crank baits like the DT10's will get the job done on the ledges and creek channels at the mouth of the creeks. This time of the year you need to be in the search mode on this lake for the bigger bass. Turn the trolling motor on and start searching for the bass with the crank baits and then the Super Flukes. Try the number five Jointed Shad Rap and move to the wood and throw a green finesse worm and hit wood and docks the rest of the day. The Tugaloo River is fair for bass being around the state park and down around Cranes Creek. Take along a variety of baits in several colors and go to work.
