The weather turned off really nice here in the Mississippi Deta today (Feb 1st), I was on the lake before daylight making my way to one of my secret spots 4 miles from the ramp. I set down at my first spot and on the second cast I hauled in real nice 5 1/2 pounder, between 6:30 and 7:00am, I caught 5 fish and then the sun peaked over and the bite was off for one hour, at 8:00 am the bite was back and caught 5 more with in 1 1/2 hours.
With my top 5, I had over 28lbs. Not a bad day!!
Water temp was 42 degrees.
