When you're riding across the lake, don't let your rider put their hands in the water while the boat is running. Had a friend of mine do that years ago. Didn't think much about it , until he had the misfortune of hitting a crankbait that just happened to be floating just under the surface. Didn't sink it deep enough that we couldn't get it out, but I never saw him dragging his hand in the water anymore either.
