Here is one that has never happened to me. Got my Taho out last week for the first time this year and noticed that the rps were ok on my alum back up prop, but had dropped when I put on my Tropy 4 blade ss. Fast-j told me their might be a fuel issue but I told him it ran ok with the alum and did even higher rpms,we were both wondering. Well I replaced the plugs and fuel filter again and it and the ss was still slow then I put on the alum and it also had lost rpm 0100-200).This got me thinking, so I stopped by Ohio Marine at Indian Lake and got a pump rebuild kit( I did it last spring also) and found foreign material in the check valve from the tank. Was wondering would it hurt the pressure if I put a filter between the tank and pump as the main filer is after the pump from Merc?
