Cold front has brought water temps down to around 66-68 degrees. Pretty cold for South Florida Everglades. Morning temps were in the 40's on the 3rd day of a cold front. Topwater was almost non-existent and fish were mostly low and mainly responding to slow moving baits on the bottom. Although I caught a nice bass using a horny toad through the lily pads, the lure of choice today was definitely a watermelon colored trick worm and it seemed to work better with no weight at all, slowly dropping to the bottom. Senkos were working well too but trick worms seemed to get the best reaction.

Threw everything I had today, including topwater poppers and zara spook type baits, swim baits, flukes, worms, jigs, horny toads, weedless popping frogs, and crankbaits. Hoping tomorrow will warm up a bit and clouds will cover today's blue skies. Nevertheless, a great day fishing in the Glades!
