I thought I'd start a new one so as not to high jack the other.
"Ok! Lets do this first....Tell me what your current prop/pitch/w.o.t. rpm and gps speed is. Do you feel you have enough lift? Whats your setback (inch's, jackplate) What is your propshaft to pad height?
And last but not least.....How high is your rooster tail if any?"
Fury 26. with all tackle and me I'm at 6000 and 75.5 to 76.8 depending upon the water. Tournament load 5800-5900 71.5 to 72. 5" jack plate fixed. I'm not sure where I'm at right now on height. I've raised 0.75" for factory setting which I'll check but I think it's 3.25". Max rooster tail is below the top of the motor.
Lift is good solo, a little slow at tournament load.
The Fury is stock, I'm looking at a couple Tempest's that are BB'd and Balanced with the "J" curve tip. The Trophy has a little better lift but drops out on top end. That's why I'm changing. I keep the Trophy and will keep the Tempest as a spare.
