I assume this is the factory prop that came on my 16'.4 BumbleBee with a 110 Johnson ? The motor is mounted on a 6" manual jackplate, again from the factory so I guess they figured out the best all around prop for this combo but I haven't lake tested the boat yet ... so I don't know how it runs out, original owner says the boat is a real good performer for what it is.
When I got it home a 2 months ago I removed the prop and gently tapped down some minor dings with a brass hammer. Since about half of the white paint was already worn away I decided to remove as much as I could with a scotch brite pad using my porting dremel.
The prop is stamped 13 X 19 and doesn't appear to have much cup if any at all. I also noticed that it has 3 port holes in it and the blade edges are very thin, almost sharp compared to most other stainless props I've seen so I wonder about it being FRAGILE ?
Any suggestions on what I could do to improve it or should I just go ahead and run it first ?
