Atlas vs Bobs

Was up at a Marina in Okeechobee and was talking to the tech guy there about jackplates. They sell Ranger boats and they all had Atlas jackplates on them. I did a little poking around and it looks like the Atlas has an external pump vs Bobs which requires an internal reservoir and lines. I also read somewhere that atlas had some type of safety cable which is designed to keep the motor from ending up in the boat in case of a catastrophe. I saw where there have been some instances of the bobs plate coming apart in the event of a submerged collision.

All that being said does anyone have any personal knowledge comparing these two plates or have any links that have a good comparison?
