About three weeks ago I was getting ready to launch the boat and was closing the rod locker. Well it closed but ended up tearing the screws out that held the shock for the rod locker. Apparently the screws had started coming loose and then must have worked the holes bigger so when i shut the lid it tore the bracket out. I can't screw it back in the same place so I will have to try to re-mount the bracket a little lower so it screws in tight. I checked the other rod locker and the screws had loosened there a bit too so I srewed them in tight.
These must come loose from time to time as the boat bounces around and the lids get closed and opened. Its probably worth checking these once a month to keep them from tearing out. Figured I'd share this.
