Has anyone hooked a FIsh Finder to trolling motor circuit?

Locations looks to be perfect! Go for it...half the fun of owning a boat is "customizing" it. Makes it even better when you can do it yourself! Have a happy Holiday, and give those fish a break for a day or two!

    Bass boat ID

Jay, I searched the web and came up dry on any manufacturer named "Eagle". You sure that boat wasn't manufactured by Astroglass? They made a boatload of 15 footers in the late 80's that look similar. Are there any manufacturer markings on her? Coast guard warning plate?

Has anyone hooked a FIsh Finder to trolling motor circuit?

Ron, A few years back most of the fish finders were really sensitive to being on the same circuit as a trolling motor, and you'd get significant picture degradation (lines and dots). You may want to try hooking up a unit to see just how much interference you pull with the TM active...it may...

    Florida Everglades Photos Dec 15th

I am so jealous! Right now I'm looking at four guys ice fishing. Seven inches of ice on our little lake. Just finished winterizing my Stratos yesterday in the garage...had to use the snow blower to clear a spot for her in the backyard. I HATE HARD WATER!

    Sweet Beaver

Try one on a Shakeyhead rigged weedless. You'll be amazed at how many bass you'll catch...they're excellent in any size, too, just get a color that matches crawfish in the waters you fish. It's a "go to" bait at any time. Don't get hung up on the particular brand, either. Most soft plastic...

    Roland Martin Marina RV Park

Happy Thanksgiving all...just wondering if anyone has recently used the Roland Martin Marina RV park in Clewiston, Florida on Lake O. I'm talking myself into spending a week there come this February with my Winnie. Just wondering if the RV campground is OK. I figure drowning a couple of dozen...

    Old Bass Boats- 1975

Great synopsis...helps me understand why there are still so many Terry, EbbTide and Hydra Sports still floating around. A quick check of Craigslist will almost always turn up a late seventies or early eighties boat for sale, especially in the spring. Always wondered just how popular they were...

    Evinrude Problem......

I had a similar problem with a 150 Merc, only to find out I had a small hole in the number three cylinder plug boot. So my (limited) advice would be to check all of the spark plug boots and wiring to be certain you're not shorting out. It's amazing that such a small issue can lead to such major...

project pond boat deck repair question

What are people doing to these beautiful boats, mating Bobcats in them? That was showroom condition at one time...look at the poor thing now. Brings a tear to my eye. :(

Kipp, a minor extension to allow a full sized, reclining lounger could make that the PERFECT watercraft!

    need opinions...

AB, I happen to love the older Rangers, so I'd probably go for it. The only issue I personally have with the older Rangers are the seats...I don't really like the way they are upholstered, and sometimes the color combinations are enough to make me gag. When I get a Ranger "project" boat, I'm...

    Naming Your Boat

Well, I guess I'm a bit weird, but I name everything. First Ranger R83 I had was named "Ramona". After a few years I went aluminum and picked up a G3 HP180, and it was officially known as "Ironman". When I sold that after a few years and moved into a Sea Ark Center Console, that was named "The...

6lb test FLOUROCARBON. Who makes the best? Thinnest? Strongest?

Wow, tough question. I use 8 and 10lb P-Line Floroclear, which is a blend of regular copolymer mono with a fluorocarbon coating. I use the stuff for jerkbaits and crankbaits, and it works really well for those applications with my bait casting gear. It's tough, but very sensitive and holds up...
