Factory installs are probably with flat head screws before the carpet goes down. Thanks for the link wwcenturian....... it looks like the mounting screws are into the support rib, rather than through the deck. Good way to do it if the ribs are located where needed.

A local shop is offering 20% off rods and reels. I'm going to pick up a couple of rods at $180 ea and reels at $200 ea this season. Is 20% a good discount, or are there normally higher discounts later into the spring by TW, FishUSA, etc.... Not sure whether to pull the trigger here, or not.

Looking to try a different prop. I checked with my dealer on a Raker II 14 x 24. I lists out at $657 and he wanted $600. Is that a good price for this particular prop?

What size prop are you running? My VLO performs great, but I don't think I'm getting that high a top end with my 22" prop.
