Not sure about the "little water" vs 4' but. I've had mine (bass pro) for about 4 years and never inflated when I didn't want them to and cost about $20-35 to re-arm.

I keep two ksi vest in the rod locker but, use BPS inflatable. For the other inflatable users don't forget to check the date and change the re-charge kit when it's due..

I've put one in my boat right after I bought it and have never had a problem. I store my boat where there is no power so batteries come out. I got tired of removing the charger so I bought another Pro Sport to use in the garage for the winter. Great chargers!
