    Fishing the 1000 Islands

    Have gotten reports of excellent crappie fishing in Lake o the Iles, good yellow perch fishing in South Bay and also Chaumont Bay.     Back in NY

    Back at summer home on Wellesley Island. Heard the bullheads are biting good and most of the resturants have them on the menu. Crappies have moved back into deeper water due to the cool weather and water temps. Northern Pike and Walleye are open, but have no reports as yet.

    Redfishing for the 1st time

    Awsome fighters, I can see/feel the enjoyment of fishing for them. They can tire an Ol' Boy like me out pretty quick. Don't leave out Snook fishing either, lots of fun.

    The ice on Lake o t,he Iles is 31" thick. Nice slab Crappys are starting to be caught, yellow perch still good. I still hear big perch are running in Chaumont Bay.

    Ice Fishing Update on the St.Lawrence

    Feburday update has fishing on Lk 'o' Iles as average some jack perch & crappie being caught. Heard Chaumont Bay has good perch fishing. Have also heard it's been very windy, so hang on to your ice shanty.

    Is 27 inch by 33 inch net to big for bass fishing?

    27X33 net is pretty big. Might be good for Peacock bass or big Northerns if you fish that country.
